Cotswold Airport Aviation Scholarships
Thanks to the continuing generosity of Cotswold Airport owner, Mr Ronan Harvey, fly2help are delighted to support of the Cotswold Airport Aviation Scholarships each year.
It doesn't matter if you've always wanted to be a pilot, an air traffic controller or an engineer, the scholarship programme is designed to give you an introduction to the incredible spectrum of options offered by the aviation industry.
The scholarships run during the Easter holiday period for 2 weeks and include
- Introductory flying tuition
- Aviation ground school
Industrial visits- Guidance from aviation professionals
- Air traffic control
- Aircraft maintenance
- ...and many more aviation-related activities!
The scholarships are open to anyone who
- will be aged between 14 and 18 when applications open,
- lives within Gloucestershire or Wiltshire,
- and, most importantly, is passionate about aviation and interested in pursuing a career in this exciting and dynamic industry!
The scholarships have been run since 2008 with great success. Each and every scholar benefited immensely from the programme, and they all went away with their enthusiasm for aviation intensified. According to one past scholar, the scholarships are "a stepping stone to much greater things!"
A wide range of aviation businesses at Kemble and beyond are involved in the scholarship programme each year, so if you're interested in a career in aviation, whatever that might be, the Cotswold Airport Aviation Scholarships really are a fantastic first step!
Application forms, terms & conditions and details of application opening and closing dates will be available from this website later in the year. Interviews for short-listed candidates are carried out shortly before the scholarships start.
