Interested in becoming a volunteer?
Helping us at a fundraising event or at an Air Smiles Day is an empowering experience for you, and offers us invaluable support without which we could not operate. We rely on our committed and enthusiastic volunteers who generously donate their time and energy to supporting our work.
We regularly ask our friends of fly2help to join the orange and blue crew at marketing, PR and fundraising events. We are also always on the lookout for people to support our Air Smiles days - at the very heart of what we do! Responsibilities at events vary, but we always endeavour to make sure our team are designated roles they prefer and are best at. Some examples are:
- being an event photographer
- helping to support our clients (with supervision and clear leadership from fly2help)
- raffle ticket selling around the showground
- becoming 'Douglas'
- manning our stand & promoting the charity
- sourcing auction / raffles items
- helping with general set up and post-event tasks
- Have a street party!
If you have the time and are able, you could also help to organise an event, or organise one independently on our behalf!
