Events and Air Smiles Days
Scott - Air Smiles Day 3rd October 2008
Friday 3rd October was a very special day for Scott (12 years),
his sister Megan (aged 10) and their parents Karen & Gary.
Scott has severe heart and developmental problems, and has
had 2 open-heart operations.
The family had a wonderful day at Kemble, flying in "Charlie" with David Chisnall, who took them over their home in Swindon! The visit to the Control Tower was a huge success with the children being allowed to operate the runway lights and sound the crash alarm! Following a delicious lunch at AV8 Restaurant, Fireman Paul gave them all a guided tour around the Fire Station - where the best bit for Scott was to be able to try on the fireman's helmet!
Karen said "Scott loved his day and it was a great way of showing him that you can have so much fun even though the day was not part of his routine. Seeing his face during the helicopter ride was out of this world, and being able to see his home down below was amazing. Thank you so much for a fantastic day."
