Cirencester Deer Park School Pupils - Air Smiles Day 20th July 2009

For the second year running, fly2help were delighted to welcome another group of underprivileged children from Deer Park School, accompanied by 2 members of the teaching staff for a great morning of exciting adventures.

Following breakfast in AV8 they all experienced a 20 minute flight over their school and Cirencester in the glorious and luxurious Longranger helicopter.

All the children were also thrilled to experience the workings of the Air Traffic Control Tower and the airport Fire Station.

During the morning we were delighted to receive a cheque from the school, which had most generously held a non-uniform day to raise funds for fly2help. Thank you to you all!

The children left Kemble at lunchtime with huge smiles on their faces, and we received thank you letters from them all. Examples below -

"Thank you for allowing me to have the experience of being in a helicopter and even flying over the school. I wasn't expecting to have an exciting morning and I never realised it was that hard doing all the work in the Tower, so thank you."

"Dear fly2help– Thank you! I would like to thank you very much for giving me this unique opportunity and give us the chance to meet your wonderful staff and pilots. The helicopter ride was amazing and your staff were so nice and polite. I had an awesome time. Thanks once again!"
