Condolences for Red Arrows Pilot
Everyone at fly2help is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Flight Lieutenant Sean Cunningham (Red 5), following an incident at RAF Scampton on Tuesday, November 8th.
The charity enjoys a very close relationship with the Red Arrows and our thoughts and prayers are with Flt Lt Cunningham's family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.

Charity Trio Get on Their Bikes to Join RAF Heroes and Raise Cash for fly2help www.400in4.co.uk
The fly2help team did the charity proud when they joined members of the Red Arrows and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight for a gruelling coast to coast bike ride.
The charity's Chief Executive Officer, Chris Hadlow, along with Phill O'Dell and Brian Jones, flew the fly2help flag on the recent '400 in 4' event, in which the riders cycled from St Davids in Wales, to Lowestoft in Suffolk, in just four days. Find out more
fly2help Team Embark on Coast to Coast Challenge
Good luck to the fly2help team of Chris Hadlow, Phill O'Dell and Brian Jones, who are taking part in the 400 in 4 Coast to Coast Challenge this week. The trio are joining members of the Red Arrows and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight to cycle from St Davids in Wales to Lowestoft in Suffolk. The event will help raise money for the charity.

Charity's Inaugural Flying Scholar Takes to the Skies for First Solo Flight
A teenager, who became fly2help's inaugural flying scholar, has taken to the skies for his first solo flight, thanks to the support of the programme. The scholarship, which is supported by the Royal Aeronautical Society, aims to provide a young person with the chance to achieve the first milestone in any pilot's career - the chance to get airborne by themselves. Cotswold Airport Aviation Scholarships 2012 in Association with fly2help
It is with thanks once again to the generosity of Cotswold Airport owner Mr Ronan Harvey, fly2help are delighted to announce their support of the 2012 Cotswold Airport Scholarships.

Dreams Come True as Aviation Fans Enjoy Flight With a Spitfire and Raise Money for Charity
Two aviation fans fulfilled a lifelong dream when they took to the skies with one of history's most iconic aircraft - courtesy of fly2help.
Walter Sutherland and John Morton were among 5,000 people who entered a text lottery organised by the charity, with the chance of flying in formation with a Spitfire up for grabs. Find out more

fly2help Announce Inaugural Flying Scholar
We are proud to be launching the fly2help Flying Scholarship this year, which is wholly and generously sponsored by the Royal Aeronautical Society. The aim of this scholarship is to provide a youngster with enough flying to achieve the first great milestone in any pilot's career, your first solo. fly2help is committed to encouraging young people to take up careers in the aviation industry and this scholarship forms part of this aim. The scholarship will provide approximately 15 hours on a Cessna 152 with Kemble Flying Club and during the 3 week period they will teach all the basics of flying with lessons in the air and on the ground.
Thank you to all those young people who applied. Following interviews on 16th July for the 3 short-listed candidates, Sam Jacques from Cirencester will be taking to the sky as this year's scholar.
He starts his Flying Scholarship on the 15th August 2011 here at Cotswold Airport. Congratulations Sam and good luck for your time with us.

A Celebration of the Space Shuttle Programme - Lifting Horizons
Tales of what it was like to fly the Space Shuttle captivated the hundred guests attending fly2help's charity dinner in London on Thursday 24th March.
Guest speaker, Colonel Rick Searfoss, a former Shuttle pilot renowned for his moving and inspiring talks, gave guests a superbly 'human focused' presentation on what it was like to be involved in the Space Shuttle Programme in the setting of the Royal Aeronautical Society's HQ. Find out more
