Jason Really Did Go Completely Loopy!! - Aerobatic Challenge Update

SUCCESS!! WELL DONE JASON!! The Aerobatic Challenge is complete!
3 days, 15 flights and over 250 manoeuvres! Jason must have a stomach of steel!

Jason is still on cloud nine despite being completely exhausted after an adrenaline fuelled few days. Once he has recovered, Jason has promised to tell us all about his head spinning and stomach churning weekend!... meanwhile here is a summary update.

Jason had two wonderful reasons for facing this challenge and I am delighted to let you know that he has achieved both with flying colours!!

Firstly, he was hoping to raise £5,000 for fly2help. We won't have our final total for a couple of weeks yet, but it is safe to say that Jason HAS reached his target! - WELL DONE and THANK YOU JASON! You can continue to sponsor Jason as his JustGiving webpage will remain open for a while yet. You can also find out more information by visiting Jason's blog

Jason also wanted to raise awareness of the charity, to both potential beneficiaries and also future supporters. The media coverage has been phenomenal, through TV, Radio and Newspapers. We have no doubt that this new awareness will be visible for many months to come.

By no-means least, Jason was hoping to get through all three days as best as possible, without using too many sick bags! We were all shocked and delighted by Jason's ability to spin, loop, roll and gyro (to each pilots delight!), and it has to be said that he did himself proud! The professional aerobatic pilots (more commonly known as 'Sky Gods'), along with the members of fly2help, and Jason himself were questioning whether this challenge could be done... anyone who has ever experienced high power aerobatics will appreciate the huge undertaking of this challenge... one single aerobatic flight of this level, can bring even the most daring to their knees... but FIFTEEN flights is truly a incredible achievement for one stomach to face.

The final total is yet to be confirmed, but it is fair to say that Jason will have completed over 250 aerobatic manoeuvres over a final total of 15 flights... and not a single bag was reached for, let alone used, and he landed each flight with a grin from ear to ear. WELL DONE JASON!!

fly2help would like to offer an enormous and heartfelt THANK YOU to every one who has so generously donated their time, effort, enthusiasm, aircraft and varying skills to this cause... we couldn't have done it without you!
