fly2help at 2000 Trees Festival
fly2help had its debut presence at the Gloucestershire based music festival 2000 Trees over the weekend of 16th - 19th July.
Sharp showers couldn't dampen spirits as the festival goers provided the charity with donations and raffle ticket sales totalling £991!
This fantastic result couldn't have been made possible without the generosity of those who donated. Equally, the whole event would not have been achievable were it not for the stellar efforts of fly2help supporter Melissa Dutson and her dedicated team of volunteers, Gary, Sam, Luke, Curtis and Phyllis. All were a credit to our organisation and kept going all weekend through rain and shine. fly2help's very own Douglas the bear was in attendance, making friends all weekend and helping to promote the organisation though his effective use of hugs and posing for photo shoots!
A special thanks must go out to the festival organisers and Andy Rea in particular, who graciously provided a fantastic raffle prize of 2 tickets for next years festival. It was great to meet so many enthusiastic people and we were truly grateful for all the positive comments that came our way. Here's hoping for a successful 2000 Tree's Festival 2011!
