Cotswold Air Show 2010
fly2help saw yet another fabulous event at the Cotswold Air Show 2010. Following on from last year, the event was held over two days and fly2help were situated at our main stand, and a smaller scale set-up in the VIP area.
This year we held an exciting raffle, through which we were able to offer some some fantastically unique prizes. The top prizes on offer were two one-off paintings by aviation artist Jonathan Margetts. The paintings themselves were of the Avro Lancaster and Douglas Dakota belonging to the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and each has been signed by the BBMF crew and will be flown in the relevant aircraft. Also up for grabs was a trial flight in fly2help's very own de Havilland Chipmunk, along with two hot-air balloon flights.
This year we were blessed with lovely weather and a fantastic team of volunteers who, as always, put huge amounts of time and effort into making things run smoothly all weekend. Thank you team!
A special thank you must also go out to the general public who contributed so graciously towards our cause, both through the raffle and donations over the weekend. The total so far has reached a figure of £1929.60, which will help to safeguard many more wonderful flying adventures, which are sure to bring smiles to many young faces.
Thank you!
